Caterers- how to choose? Prosperity Mansion , an outdoor / garden wedding and event venue located in Frederick county and serving Westminster, Carroll Co and all of Maryland / Washington D.C.
WHAT TYPE OF FOOD DO YOU LIKE? I would certainly start there. Google caterers with that type of cuisine on their menu.
MENU- Look at their menus and see what the prices are like. You may also send them a sample menu from their website and ask how much that would cost per person. If the cost is good and within your budget schedule an appointment for a tasting. I would go to at least two different caterers to sample their food. You really want to make sure thatyou do that. You certainly don't want to taste things on the day of your wedding for the first time.
PRICE- If the price is to high , tell then that and see if they can work with you. If thy cannot ask them for some referrals that would be within your price range.
ASK THE VENUE- The wedding venue will also have caterers that they can refer you to. They certainly should have a good idea of who is out there.
WHAT'S INCLUDED? - make sure that you get the caterer to spell out what is included in the price such as: Delivery of food, set up including tables, cloths and all of their serving item, clean up, number of servers, cake cutting etc.
